Most people who consult a chiropractor have low back pain or pain in the neck. These include conditions like lumbago, sciatica, hernia (disc protrusion or bulging disk) but also conditions like osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease). In osteoarthritis it is important to enhance functional joint movement in order to slow down the degeneration process.
In addition, chiropractors treat conditions of neurological nature such as headache, migraine, dizziness, facial pain, radiating pain and tingling in arms and legs. As the nerve system controls all body parts chiropractic treatment can be very effective in ‘unexplained’ complaints of the stomach and intestines or for example lungs and heart.
